2025 Food Security Assessment
Special Edition: January 2026
We are please to announce the release of our latest report, the 2025 Food Security Assessment (FSA).
This assessment reflects the collective efforts of our community partners, Food Security Committee members, and dedicated student volunteers. Respondents included individuals accessing services at participating food pantries who voluntarily completed the FSA, either independently or with assistance from trained volunteers. Data collection took place over a 10-week period, from May 19 through August 3, 2025, with student volunteers contributing more than 200 on-site hours to support the process.
This work was guided by the Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) 2.0 framework, which emphasizes community-driven planning and collaboration. The leadership and insight of our Food Security Committee members, along with the commitment of pantry staff and student volunteers, were essential to the success of this assessment. Their contributions—from shaping assessment questions to facilitating on-site participation—helped ensure that the voices of pantry clients were centered and accurately represented.
